COVID-19 Safety Policy
California Revels cares deeply about the health, safety, and wellbeing of our patrons, cast, crew, and staff. Preventing the spread of Covid-19 for a safe and healthy environment is important and it is each participant's responsibility to pay attention to these procedures for the protection of everyone present. These procedures are subject to change and performances may be canceled at any time in the interest of safety.

PATRON PROTOCOLS - updated 11-29-2023
- During 2023 Midwinter events, patrons and community chorus participants are engaging with California Revels primarily at outdoor settings. The CDC indicates viral particles spread between people less readily indoors than outdoors. Therefore, COVID-19-specific protocols for Patrons are less restrictive for the 2023 Midwinter events.
- However, as our predominant activity is singing (and the associated increase in respiratory air exchange), there some risk outdoors and more risk indoors. Note, as well, that some community caroling rehearsals may be moved indoors for any reason. Therefore California Revels requests that participants follow these precautions indoors and outdoors:
- Vaccination: All participants in California Revels indoor events who are eligible for the vaccine are strongly advised to be vaccinated and boosted. Proof of vaccination is not required to engage in California Revels indoor events.
- Masks: All participants are strongly encouraged to carry an effective respirator, such as an N-95 or KN-95 mask. Respirators are optional on all participants. During indoor events, including during rehearsals and performance periods, respirators are strongly encouraged to be worn over nose and mouth.
