California Revels Needs New Directors NOW
Strategic Vision, Domain Knowledge, and Business Experience Needed!
Why are we recruiting for new Directors for the Board? (Hint, we always are - but especially now!)
- The answer to that question is in our open letter (click on the button below) "Envisioning Revels into the Future".
- All interested candidates should read it.
The urgency of our need for Directors is matched only by our need for the right candidates! We're eager to elect candidates who are ready to be valued team members in a working Board of Directors. If you are ready to devote time to Board service both in and outside of meetings, and ready to contribute strategically, creatively and practically, we'd love to talk with you!
The position of Director is a position of trust and responsibility. Our Directors are ethical and responsible, and understand ethical business practices and principles. In an environment of community theater, this includes being clear on what is "business" and what is "community" in an organization that is both, so that business conventions, boundaries, ethics and rules are properly applied. In a very social environment, this includes a commitment to impartially apply appropriate business conventions towards maintaining the confidentiality of private/personal information, and towards safeguarding confidential and proprietary electronic data.
Qualified candidates will be adults who are able to draw upon their own life and work experience, and who are able to demonstrate the independent thinking, initiative, and leadership required for this role.

Q: I'm not comfortable with, or able to learn certain technologies. What do I need to be familiar with, to join the Board?
